Manufacturing company in Buffalo, NY looking for a mechanical engineer to join their team!!
1st shift hours
Salary based on experience - $75-85k

JOB DUTIES:
- This role incorporates design, system integration, project installation, programming and/or repair of mechanical systems.
- Report directly to the plant engineering manager and company owner.
- Be assigned complex technical projects or business issues requiring advanced technical or industry knowledge.
- Expected to work autonomously and be in charge of your own budget and timeline on projects
- Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms
- Serve in a leadership capacity to maintenance department, floor supervisors, and production workers
- This role does not have any direct reports
- Manage projects for successful and timely completion
- Execute new product development projects from concept to design, testing, and implementation to production
- Support production by designing and employing productivity and quality improvements
- Gain swift understanding of a new machine or system in order to troubleshoot, repurpose and/or utilize
- Perform system integration (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls)
- Work in a dynamic environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Work with team members to identify and design required fixtures for manufacturing, testing, and assembly
- Write detailed work instructions for machined components and assemblies
- Create detailed drawings and design tools/fixtures as required.
- Ensure all projects are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practices
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years+ mechanical or electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong math, reasoning, creative and problem solving skills
- BS/MS mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in solid modeling (Inventor and MasterCam are a plus)
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and exceptional technical skills
- Experience/proficiency in some programming language (PLC is a plus)
