Looking for an experienced maintenance mechanic for a local metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY.

Long term opportunity with 1st shift hours

Pay varies based on experience - $18+/hr

JOB DUTIES:

-Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to plant machinery and equipment

-Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems within the plant

-Maintain documentation and upkeep for all equipment per regulations to be sure all equipment is operational to meet production needs

-Communicate issues with management and production supervisors for any necessary shut downs

-Assist with set-up, changeovers, and installation of specific equipment and machinery

-Perform inspections on all equipment regularly

-Weld and fabricate parts as needed

-maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have 3+ years of mechanical maintenance or millwright experience

-Must be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repairs mechanical issues within processing equipment, building systems, and heavy equipment as necessary

-Experience with presses, sheers, shredders and other processing equipment preferred

-Must be familiar with lock out, tag out procedures and have a high level of safety awareness

-Must be able to read blueprints/schematics, and have some electrical knowledge as well

-Strong communication skills and attention to detail are highly necessary

-Must be reliable and have good work history
