Manufacturer of process piping and other sanitary components in Arcade, NY looking for a production planner to join their team!!
1st shift hours - 8am-5pm Mon-Fri
Pay varies based on experience - up to $70k salary

Position Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production activities in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Job Duties:
•Plans, schedules, and coordinates production activities in a manufacturing environment.
•Ensures production planning processes are optimized to meet customer demands, maintain inventory levels, and minimize production costs.
•Facilitates production efficiency by reviewing orders and resource allocation, and revising production schedules when necessary to account for design changes, engineering issues, input from management, material shortages, work backlogs, or other issues.
•Reviews contract specifications, drawings, sales orders, and other project documents to understand requirements
•Schedules and coordinates work with appropriate department staff so that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner
•Works closely and coordinates with various departments, including Purchasing, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure smooth production flow.
•Collects and analyzes production data to identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement; prepares necessary reports.
•Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Primary Competencies:
•Strong knowledge of ERP systems and software
•Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks, escalating when appropriate
•Excellent written and verbal communication and math skills
•Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-up, and time management, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft applications including Excel
•Ability to read prints used in production planning, and read and interpret production schedules.
•Understand bills of materials, and how they relate to prints and what is available in inventory.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning.
