Job Description

Looking for forklift operators for a metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY,.

Long term, temp-to-perm openings

1st shift - 7:15am-3:45pm

Pay varies based on experience - $17.50-$18.50/hr - *Laborer roles available as well*

JOB DUTIES:

-Sort and process various metals with specific machinery

-Load hoppers/machines to process shred, cut, compact, melt, or palletize metals

-Load processed material on to pallets or shipping containers

-Perform basic material handling and use hand tools to separate metal as needed

-Operate a forklift or Bobcat with various attachments as required for job to move material and load machines

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have sit-down forklift experience for an operator role

-Must be comfortable working around machinery and equipment, as well as outdoors if needed

-Experience with machine operation or processing equipment a plus

-Must be able to perform all physical demands of the role; lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, load machines, etc.
