Customer Service/Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Local chemical distribution warehouse looking for a customer service/administrative candidate to join their office team in Tonawanda, NY!
1st shift hours - 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Fri
Pay varies based on experience - $17-22/hr with room to grow

JOB DUTIES:
-Act as primary point-of-contact for all calls and routing them to the correct internal person or voice-mailbox.
-Respond to phone, email and occasional walk-in inquiries from current and potential customers regarding pricing and availability of products.
-Enter orders using a system which generates a Bill of Lading for transportation.
-Verify all components of the Purchase Order, email or phone request and that the transaction is correct and complete (customer information, delivery location and schedule, tax status, pricing, payment details and additional documentation as required for customer needs and/or shipment.)
-Communicate with warehouse foreman and operators to verify product availability and delivery schedule/details as needed.
-Prepare shipment paperwork for outside carriers.
-General office support (extensive scanning, copying and occasional use of a fax machine)
-Seasonal support of a Will Call window for purchases open to the public. Use of a credit card reader and cash transactions using a register. Heavy traffic in summer.
-Must have good organizational skills and be comfortable with multi-tasking as simultaneous situations may be occurring with the need to triage demands.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have 2+ years of customer service or administrative/receptionist experience
-Must have good communication and organizational skills
-Experience with basic computer software, such as MS Office required
-Must be dependable
