Job Description

A local machining company is looking for CNC Machinists to operate production cells creating parts to produce metal forming machinery/equipment in Akron, NY

1st shift hours: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri

2nd shift hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am Mon-Fri

Pay Starts at $24.44/hr, goes up to $26.44 on 2nd shift!

JOB DUTIES:

- Setup and operate multiple CNC machines (turret, lathes, mills)

- Operate secondary support machinery such as gear cutting machines

- Inspect parts during machine operation to ensure quality

- Replenish coolant and lubricate machinery

- Deburr and assemble finished parts

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years of CNC machining experience or equivalent education, preferably on lathes

- Extreme attention to detail and ability to create parts within specific tolerances

- Ability to read blueprints and following engineering specifications, and use measurement equipment

- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
