Beauty and skincare company in Clarence, NY looking for a batcher/cook to join their team!

1st shift hours

pay starts at $18/hr

-Previous experience mixing ingredients or batching preferred

-Experience as a short order cook would transfer well

-Must have a high level of attention to detail and be able to multi-task

-Must be able to work well independently

-Consistent, long term work history preferred

JOB DUTIES:

  • Material handling (stocking, inventory):
  • Gather manufacturing materials, counting inventory levels, notifying management when reorder levels are approaching, and migrate finished products to staging areas. *Materials* includes production raw ingredients, consumables (shipping cases, retail packaging, filler/dunnage) and/or finished products.
  • Material packaging
  • Folding/forming/assembling both shipping and retail boxes from paper/corrugated raw material into finished containers.
  • Counting and arranging consumer packaging (jars) in preparation for filling with finished products
  • Manufacture of finished goods
  • Use various production equipment for the manufacturing of skincare cosmetics.
  • Follow formulation recipes including measuring raw ingredients, adding ingredients to mixing/heating equipment, activating and monitoring equipment to ensure process integrity, identifying and communicating any deviations, and dispensing finished product into consumer packaging (jars, bottles, cosmetic tubes) Seal filled containers; includes capping of jars/bottles with various lid types, heat sealing of squeeze tubes, shrink wrapping containers.
  • Scan sealed containers with batch / barcode information.
  • Label/sticker the sealed/scanned containers appropriately.
  • Load case-pack containers with specific target quantities of finished product.
  • Follow defined procedures for cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area
  • Maintain production documentation
  • Includes maintaining a production log – recording of task start/end times, temperature and humidity readings from equipment, quantities produced, and noting any deviations from expected process.
  • Ensure all quality control processes are followed.
  • Includes self-inspection of each completed task, and secondary verification sign-off, when required
