JOB DUTIES:
The Aftermarket Sales Representative responds to customer inquiries requiring aftermarket parts for filtration equipment. Customers may include manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, end customers, etc. This position is responsible for preparing quotations and converting quotations to orders using strong follow up and selling skills. The Sales Representative is responsible for entry and execution of sales orders while interfacing with suppliers and all internal departments as necessary. Provides technical customer support related to equipment maintenance and operation. This position pays a base salary plus commission.
• Prepare aftermarket parts & service cost estimates and quotations.
• Proactively contact historical and new prospective customers for aftermarket sales.
• Follow-up on quotations and required action items to close the order.
• Accurately enter orders into Epicor (ERP/Quoting System) and expedite orders requiring premium delivery.
• Maintain customer database in Epicor.
• Interface with all company departments and sales representatives to secure business and ensure customer needs are met.
• Increase sales and average order size by up-selling and add-ons.
• Achieve aftermarket sales quotas by establishing and implementing the Aftermarket Action Plan.
• Develop strong knowledge of filtration product line, associated parts, and applications.
• Provides technical support to customers and sales representatives related to equipment, parts, maintenance, and operation.
• Provide effective and timely response to customer inquiries and resolution of customer issues
• Follow company policies and procedures, perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5-7 years of experience in industrial aftermarket sales, capital equipment preferred.
• Associates degree in Engineering is preferred but, may be substituted with a well-rounded and documented technical background.
• Experience working with manufacturer’s representatives.
• Ability to interpret equipment drawings, P&ID’s, and hydraulic schematics.
• Must be a self-starter with strong problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to prioritize duties and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have ability to effectively communicate with customers, sales representatives, and company personnel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
