Large distribution center looking to add skilled maintenance technicians to their team! Company offers pleasant team-based work culture and excellent benefits once probation period is complete (details below)

Shift: 2nd shift: 2: 30pm-11: 00pm
*Will train on 1st shift (6: 00am-2: 30pm). Candidates should have some schedule flexibility (overtime as needed, or coverage for vacations on 1st shift if other staff are our).

Pay: Competitive, based on experience and skill level

Responsibilities/Duties:
--Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
--Perform mechanical adjustments to keep equipment/machines operating.
--Troubleshoots and performs any mechanical, electrical, or PLC repairs and adjustments as needed.
--Perform scheduled, routine preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating and minimize downtime.
--Fabricate parts, guards, or other devices to maintain equipment and safe working conditions.
--Conduct machine changeovers throughout day
--Maintain reports and logs for production records, preventative maintenance/downtime logs, etc.

Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Proven ability to troubleshoot or repair mechanical equipment
Knowledge of basic PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical.

Erika received her undergraduate degree from Canisius College and, after falling in love with the Queen city, decided to stay. Shortly after leaving school in 2011, she accepted a full time job with APS as an administrative assistant soon thereafter earning a role as a recruiter, assistant branch manager, and now Northtown’s Area Manager. In this role, she has learned to put on several “hats”: assisting in new client development and on-boarding, assisting with operational functions and internal training, dabbling in website updates and advertising, etc etc. Most importantly, Erika is a true “people-centric” person- she enjoys maintaining a role in the recruiting arena, for both meeting and interviewing prospective employees and working closely with a dedicated client base.
